NETGEAR ANNOUNCES NEW CHANNEL PARTNER PROGRAM TO MAKE IT EASIER AND MORE PROFITABLE FOR VARS TO GROW THEIR BUSINESSES

The newly branded NETGEAR Solution Partner program improves breadth of program offerings and services offered to IT integrators and resellers

SAN JOSE, Calif. — July 1, 2015 — NETGEAR®, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTGR) (www.netgear.com), a global networking company that delivers innovative products to businesses, consumers and service providers, has redesigned its channel partner program to grow partner profitability, increase reseller support, and provide improved sales and marketing tools. The new program, now called the NETGEAR Solution Partner (NSP) program (www.netgear.com/partner), is designed to make it easier and more profitable for reseller partners such as IT integrators and technology solution providers and consultants to sell and support NETGEAR business-class product lines, which include market-leading ProSAFE® switching and wireless products and ReadyNAS® and ReadyDATA® storage products.

The NSP program comprises three tiers — NSP Basic, Platinum, Platinum + — delivering a rich array of benefits at each level based on the partner's increased investment and commitment to NETGEAR products. In the U.S., NETGEAR is rolling out a new NSP Specialist level as part of the Platinum + tier that offers higher rebates and Marketing Development Funds (MDF) to select solution providers focused on industry vertical market segments such as education and hospitality.

NETGEAR is expanding the program breadth of offerings and services, including increased profits through new discounts and incentives such as Marketing Development Funds (MDF), new lead generation and sales support services, revamped training programs, and unified program management across regions.

In its initial phase, NETGEAR is rolling out the new NSP program within the U.S., France, Germany, the U.K. and the Benelux countries. NETGEAR will expand it to additional EMEA countries in the future.

“As our new partner program becomes available around the world, we wanted to ensure a globally managed program consistent across regions that makes it easy for VARs to work with us and profitably grow their own businesses,” said Renee Meisenbach, the director of worldwide channel marketing for NETGEAR Commercial Business Unit. “It’s the right time to redesign our program to emphasize not only the price/performance value of NETGEAR products and our industry-leading warranty program, but to strengthen margins and simplify business processes to lower the costs of doing business with NETGEAR. We recognize that a successful channel program is not based on technology alone, but on a shared effort to drive business opportunities and revenue.”

NSP Program Highlights

The NETGEAR Solution Partner program provides access to an extensive variety of sales, marketing, training, and support resources, making it easier for partners to profit from selling the broad range of NETGEAR business-class products. A newly designed partner portal gives all partners quick and easy online access to the program.

All NETGEAR Value-Added Resellers are eligible for the entry-level tier of the NSP program, Basic, which entitles them to a wide range of benefits, training, sales and marketing assistance, and pre- and post-sales support to help increase reseller profitability and make NETGEAR products among the easiest to sell in the industry.

All NSP Basic members receive the following benefits:

  • Online and advanced Return Material Authorization (RMA)
  • Joint sales call support
  • Training and certifications programs
  • Government/education discounts
  • Deal registration program
  • Product evaluation request

Based on quarterly sales revenue, NSP resellers are eligible for the NSP Platinum membership level. NETGEAR Solution Partners producing substantially higher levels of quarterly networking revenue are eligible for the NSP Platinum + tier membership and are rewarded with even more benefits. Both tiers include:

  • Dedicated account manager
  • Joint business plan agreement to develop sales
  • Elevated 24x7 device level technical support
  • Lead sharing
